Teams play 8 head-to-head Baker games against other teams in their age division, with the higher scoring team earning a Win while the other team earns a Loss. There are only 16 USA Bowling Regional Tournament events, where Under-15 (U15) and Under-12 (U12) teams can enter. Colleges and universities, and even some high school associations, use the Baker format for their non-individual competition. In its simplest definition, the Baker format means that each bowler take turns in a rotation, throwing one complete frame at a time. USBC/IBC introduced a new tournament concept to certain youth bowlers in 2013, where teams of bowlers compete against each other in the “Baker” format. If this tournament interests you, please see the “Baker Bash” Tournament page - this season the First Coast USBC is holding a tournament that closely resembles the USA Bowling regional tournament, giving local bowlers the opportunity to experience this tournament without making a trip or overnight stay! What is “USA Bowling – U15/U12 Baker”? We were on the low end of the center and couldn’t see very many scores but I really didn’t see anyone shooting much.Update : T he USA Bowling Coastal South regional tournament is scheduled for 1/4/20-1/5/20 at Aloma Bowl in Winter Park.

My team mates didn’t fair very well and I doubt any of the others will cash. I finally migrated in a little and was shooting at 14 at the arrows but probably didn’t get any further out than the 12 board. I started throwing the ball better and made my spares. In singles things started getting better. The last game I went back to the t-road playing the same area and started to get some reaction. Left a bunch of splits, washouts, and a couple missed spares and it got ugly. Still didn’t have a good look but it was the best I had. I didn’t bring a big hooking ball and tried to use a Phaze with an out of box surface. The pattern seemed much longer and heavier to me and the others on the pair. Our 6th man decided not to come so we only had 5 on the pair and one was a lefty. This is when I changed to the IQ tour and was able to stay in the area without migrating real deep. I had migrated in to 14 and had developed some bump room right. This isn’t really anything new to the national experience. The other team didn’t do very well either and they had a couple of higher rev guys Their biggest issue was losing the right some and would get 3 or 4 off the right side. The rest of the team struggled except for a “young member” who shot 600 even. My spare shooting was pretty ugly and missed 5 or 6 easy spares. Late in the second game I went to an IQ Tour and was able to stay in the slot. I have only had success with this ball on sport shots. This ball has on these conditions given me a very even controlled break. I also had scuffed it up with some green scotch brite prior to competition. So I believe it has zero to some thumb weight and a little finger. I had success 10 years ago with a T-road pearl with, for me an odd drilling, it is a short pin with the pin under the fingers and a lower right quadrant balance hole. By the third game I had a the best look I have had in years, nothing wide open but good shots reacted the way I thought the should. For me after a game I started see the lanes open up some. I felt there was more hook this year than last. I have become a rev dominate tweener with lower ball speed as I have aged. So there was no team work in breaking down the lanes. We were paired with a team of a couple of senior bowlers and 3 younger males. With the new average rules it is possible we might have only 2 or 3 in the regular division. 4 of the 5 of use are in the regular division. So this is a tale of a bunch of house bowlers who have carried good house averages for years. So we know the drill and the fact we only bowl on house shots leaves us at a big disadvantage. We have been going to nationals on average about 40 years each.
